Busy girl

First of all, a huge marvelous thank you to our veterans. America wouldn’t be where we are today without you!

I had a pretty packed weekend. Allll day Saturday was spent at a softball tournament. First game at 8:30, last game at 6. It was a long day. We ended up taking second place. We really sucked in the morning but as the day went on we pulled it together! Being together the whole day really helped us bond as a team. That really helps!

I did eat some yummy food that day and I didn’t even stress about it. Woohoo!

4. Lunch dessert- banana snickers scone!

5. Dinner- massive turkey sub

6. Dessert- ice cream sundae! Strawberries and butterscotch. 😉

Sunday was a pretty relaxing day. Went to a grad party with marvelous food. I even dressed up a lil’ 😉

I also introduced some of my friends to Geocaching! They thought it was the coolest thing ever. If you haven’t tried it yet, please do! It’s so fun!

Today… something kind of big happened. More about it soon 😀

I’ve got a softball tournament this weekend then a 5k on Monday! I’m also going to some graduation parties too. I can’t believe the year’s practically done! Have a super weekend!

My own happiness

Yesterday was just a really good day. This was one of the first days in a long while that I didn’t plan any of my meals. I just let them happen as they came!

Breakfast was some waffles with peanut butter, greek yogurt, strawberries, and bananas. And a hb egg.

I only had a half day of school so I got to go home at lunch! I was going to go for a quick bike ride, but right as I left I ran into my cousin who was on a run. #smalltownthings! I rode along with her for the 3 miles- it’s taper week. The half marathon is this weekend!

When I got home I was pretty hungry for some lunch. It was absolutely beautiful outside so I had a one man picnic!

Turkey sandwich, carrots and hummus, oranges, and cookies. All eaten while watching the Tigers game outside. Pure bliss! I found out later that it was national chocolate chip cookie day. Good thing I ate 4. No shame.

There was also a lot of cuddling with the babies.

That little stinker brought home a bird. I picked it up and put it on the trampoline so I could help/examine it. It’s poor foot was broken and it kept going lopsided. I checked on it a few minutes later, tried to stand it up, and what does it do? As my face is not a foot from it, it spazzes and flies away! I’d like to think that I saved its life 🙂

Then I had track practice. For my meet today I’m scheduled for shotput and disc. I had never thrown a disc in my life. Welll, I picked it up pretty quick and I think I’ll do quite well! Oh yeah, another girl and I also wanted to see if we could still do a back tuck. We can!

When I got home I had half an hour until softball. Not enough time for a real dinner. I had some carrots, a hb egg, and a cookie. This is kind of important because I was really worried about what I’d eat and if I’d even be hungry but I just let it happen and I survived. It’s a big deal to me.

Softball wasn’t as bad as it normally is. It’s not that it’s hard, it’s just so boring. I felt sooo dirty after. Shower immediately.

I was kind of hungry after which calls for dessert. No one should ever go a day without dessert. Heated apple muffin with vanilla ice cream. Wonderful.

After this I was so.tired. I slept well last night.

The weather just makes me so happy. Now I’m off to my track meet- wish me luck. I might break the school record!

It Never Stops

Remember when I said I was almost done with everything and would have time to myself?

What a joke.

I’m just as busy as ever.

Friday: Bonding time with my dad. I don’t go to his house very much. We went to a basketball game (weird! ;)) then he was hungry and wanted Culver’s. I was bad and had this!

Honestly it wasn’t even that good.

I was pretty worried on Friday night because I was sleeping at my dad’s and wouldn’t get to do my normal routine. Not my usual breakfast, no morning yoga…. I survived!

Saturday:

My stepmom usually makes this for breakfast on the weekends. I let myself have a few pieces…

Then my dad and I went snowshoeing. It was my first time so I wasn’t sure what to expect!

It was pretty fun. We went a little over an hour – around 2 miles. It was hot! We were gonna stop and build a fire but decided not to.

Later when I got to my regular home, I went xc skiing and tried to look for a cache. Ever heard of Geocaching? So cool! My phone died so I couldn’t finish finding it. I’ll try again soon!

Then I had to run 3 easy miles for half marathon training! I ran with my cousin Laura who is a good easy pace. My mom wanted pizza for dinner so we got a BLT and a chef salad.

THEN I went cyberbowling! I really didn’t want to, but it’s been awhile since I did anything with my friends so I sucked it up and went. I had an okay time. I like bowling!

Sunday:

Had eggs and toast for breakfast. Haven’t had that for a long time!

Basketball practice. Tournament next weekend!

First softball practice of the year! I think it will be a pretty good season.

Run. It was probably 3-4 miles, I was supposed to do 4 today for training.

I got out my guitar and played a little bit. I don’t know why I haven’t been playing lately.

I’ve got so many recipes I need to share! Here’s some other things from this weekend.
