Team Dinners

Last night was really fun! Since it’s our last tournament EVER tomorrow we had a team dinner at my house. First I’ll tell you my other meals yesterday. I ate well!

Breakfast

I attempted to make sunny side up eggs but I suck at making eggs. I ended up having an egg sandwich! And a banana.

Lunch

Call me crazy, but I think school lunches are delicious. Thank you Michelle Obama for making them healthier. I ended up not bringing the leftover rollups and had hot lunch.

You get so much! Buttered noodles, salad, green beans, banana, and milk. I wish I had more time to eat it, I’m always so rushed!

Dinner

We had a practice after school then went to my house for tacos!

Yum yum yum. I couldn’t have a taco because I can’t eat meat on Fridays, so I made a delicious salad!

Multigrain chips, lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, black beans, and salsa. I had seconds! I ended up having about three of my step mom’s scotcheroos because hey, it’s the weekend and I hardly ever have sweets! So. Good.

Then we went downstairs and played Just Dance which is so fun. I don’t know why I hardly ever play it!

After the dinner we all went to a friend’s birthday party! There was lots more food but I didn’t eat any junk. It doesn’t even look good to me!

photo 2 (24)

I did have a cookie though. They’re her mom’s specialty and delish!

I got hungry a little later and didn’t want any of that food, so since I’m practically family over there I went in the fridge and got a Greek yogurt. Mixed with cocoa powder and peanut butter, YUM!

A few of us made a “Harlem Shake” video. I finally know what it is! I kept hearing about it but didn’t know. Stupid… but fun! I’ll post the video when my friend sends it!

I didn’t go to bed that late, 12:30-1. Nothing compared to the others! I was up by 8 this morning and felt good. It’s been a long time since we all had a sleepover!

How often do you get together with friends?

Omg… just saw a commercial for Carrabba’s. Pasta Seconds? Don’t mind if I do!

Now I just have to find the nearest… 244 miles. Ugh. #smalltownprobs

Special recipe coming soon! 😀

An Unexpected Turn of Events

I was pleasantly surprised to wake up this morning to a snow day! I’m not even sure why – we didn’t even get that much snow last night.

The day has been spent in town with my mom. I’ve been really depressed today. I don’t know why. I feel bad for my mom, but she’s also been kind of crabby too. I need to focus on the good. Not the bad.

Something good I can focus on is the new shoes I got! Glik’s had some amazing deals today. I got two pairs of TOMS for $27 each! Is that not great?! Also an adorable pair of Roxy boots for $19!

I got to change the donation board too 🙂

This morning I had to do a little shoveling. I swear I was shoveling water. The snow is so thick!

So, if anyone’s wondering, we did not win the basketball tournament! Everyone was all in good spirits about it though. We beat the team that we wanted to beat. We accomplished our goal! And it was nice for the other teams to be in the championship. I also didn’t want to wait to play – I wanted to get home!

I got a knee to the quad so I’m pretty sore. Someone also stepped on my foot so I’m an awkward walker right now! At least I don’t have to run today!

MiMM

Blogging today has really helped me change my attitude. I had a Facetime piano lesson too (my teacher is in Florida!) and that always puts me in a good mood. I need to remember how blessed I am!

On the Path to Success!

The tournament is looking good for us! We won both games today and beat our rivals! We haven’t beat them since fifth grade so it was a big deal.

winning

getting a little cocky

I would say I did pretty good. 8 for 8 on my free throws! I also fouled out… but we pulled it off!

Now we have to win 3 games tomorrow and we’ll be the champs!

We went out for dinner to celebrate a hard effort. Carbs… <3!

They give you their bread as appetizers. Best. Bread. Ever. Dense, loafy, perfection.

photo 2 (10)

They have olive oil and pesto butter to spread. PERFECT.

I got a salad with my meal. It’s supposed to be Hot Bacon spinach but I got ranch instead… still not a bacon fan!

photo 1 (8)

It was the perfect size. Not too big so I still had room for the entree. And I got my daily serving of greens!

Since I eat meat and am branching out on foods now, I was able to order what the restaurant’s famous for – half and half! (half meat half cheese/alfredo) I ordered linguine.

photo 4 (8)

There’s also a meatball under there – I didn’t know it came with.

Let me tell you, it hit the spot. Carb heaven.

My mom got the penne half and half.

photo 3 (9)

The garlic bread was also to die for. Dipped in the sauce… <3!

We both took home leftovers and a piece of bread. I am excited for tomorrow’s lunch!

We’ve been relaxing the remainder of the night. Watched the Michigan State/Penn State game. Go Sparty! Championship tomorrow! Poop’s been adorable too.

I also did this commercial workout for the healthysELF Challenge. Go check it out!

Wish me luck tomorrow and have a great Sunday!

It Never Stops

Remember when I said I was almost done with everything and would have time to myself?

What a joke.

I’m just as busy as ever.

Friday: Bonding time with my dad. I don’t go to his house very much. We went to a basketball game (weird! ;)) then he was hungry and wanted Culver’s. I was bad and had this!

Honestly it wasn’t even that good.

I was pretty worried on Friday night because I was sleeping at my dad’s and wouldn’t get to do my normal routine. Not my usual breakfast, no morning yoga…. I survived!

Saturday:

My stepmom usually makes this for breakfast on the weekends. I let myself have a few pieces…

photo 2 (4)

blueberry coffee cake

Then my dad and I went snowshoeing. It was my first time so I wasn’t sure what to expect!

photo 3 (4)

It was pretty fun. We went a little over an hour – around 2 miles. It was hot! We were gonna stop and build a fire but decided not to.

photo 4 (5)

Later when I got to my regular home, I went xc skiing and tried to look for a cache. Ever heard of Geocaching? So cool! My phone died so I couldn’t finish finding it. I’ll try again soon!

photo (19)

Then I had to run 3 easy miles for half marathon training! I ran with my cousin Laura who is a good easy pace. My mom wanted pizza for dinner so we got a BLT and a chef salad.

photo (20)

THEN I went cyberbowling! I really didn’t want to, but it’s been awhile since I did anything with my friends so I sucked it up and went. I had an okay time. I like bowling!

Sunday:

Had eggs and toast for breakfast. Haven’t had that for a long time!

Basketball practice. Tournament next weekend!

First softball practice of the year! I think it will be a pretty good season.

Run. It was probably 3-4 miles, I was supposed to do 4 today for training.

I got out my guitar and played a little bit. I don’t know why I haven’t been playing lately.

I’ve got so many recipes I need to share! Here’s some other things from this weekend.

Did you have a good weekend?

How do you manage all your time?

Another Win and OOTD #2!

It was tough, but my team came from behind and won the basketball tournament! It was a long day but not nearly as long as the last tournament.

Image

We won our first game. Not very interesting. Lost the second game, and won the third. Since we had the second best record, we still made it to the championship!

The championship game was against the team we already lost to. We were ready for revenge! We won 28-26. I had 16 points!

Only two more tournaments left!

That was Sunday – on Saturday my mom and I went to Green Bay to do some shopping. More like looking! The only thing we bought was tights. Not even kidding.

Outfit Time!

This is what I wore yesterday to school.

This was so comfy and cute too!

This week is the official start of my half marathon training! 12 weeks… so close! Here is my plan! I’ve also got some recipes coming up soon 🙂

Fitness-HalfMarathonTrainingPlan2013

Although this post is pretty happy and lighthearted, I’m actually pretty depressed right now. I’m not sure what to do with all my time. My life just seems to be going nowhere. I think I need to be more social.

Do you have the winter blues?

Are you training for any races?
